INFINAIR provides ventilation solution for a branch company of Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (XCMG)

09-26-2019

Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (XCMG) was founded in 1943. Since then, XCMG has stood at the forefront of the Chinese construction machinery industry and developed into one of the domestic industry's largest, most influential, and most competitive enterprise groups with the most complete product varieties and series.

In 2012, XCMG built a new plant, which required the purchase of a large number of roof fans, and negotiated with many suppliers before finally choosing INFINAIR fans.

I. Challenges faced by the fans to be used in this project

-- The roof fan can keep long-term, reliable and continuous operation under the local meteorological conditions, ensuring a service life of more than 10 years.

-- The roof fan should be designed to operate smoothly to meet the design load conditions to reduce fan noise, vibration and displacement.

-- Roof fans require easy installation, flexible opening, safe and reliable operation, easy to maintain and replace.

-- The roof fan should be guaranteed to operate normally at an outdoor wind speed of 32 m/s, while the structural strength of the fan should be designed to meet the maximum outdoor wind speed of 40 m/s.

2. INFINAIR solution

-- The traditional fan motor is generally cooled by natural ventilation, and no other special ventilation and cooling measures are taken. Therefore, in the high temperature season of summer, the temperature of the roof can reach more than 45 degrees. The motor and the bearing of the fan work at high temperature for a long time, which seriously affects the lubrication function of the lubrication system and the bearing lubrication system inside the motor, and accelerates the aging of the moving parts. More maintenance work is needed and causes additional costs to the user.

-- The RTC fan provided by INFINAIR includes motor housing, wheel exhaust housing, column, base inlet bell, motor and centrifugal wheel. The base and the inlet bell are formed in one piece and hydro-formed by the mold. Motor housing and wheel, the exhaust housing and the base inlet bell are adjacent to each other, and are connected by a column. The motor is installed in the motor housing and is directly connected with the centrifugal wheel. The centrifugal wheel is arranged in the wheel exhaust housing, including the wheel plate and blades mounted on the front side of the wheel plate. Four fins are on the back of the wheel plate and rainproof louvers are on the outer surface of the motor housing. The rain-proof louvers act with the fins to make the air in the motor housing directly circulate with the outside air, effectively solving the heat dissipation problem of the motor in the roof fan, and enabling the roof fan to operate efficiently for a long time.

-- Traditional roof fans are made of steel or fiberglass reinforced plastic. Steel roof fans are heavy, and are subject to high vibrations. The fan made of fiberglass reinforced plastic is light but the service life is not long. It can be said that INFINAIR's RTC is the general trend of future roof fan development. The product also has the advantages of high pressure, moderate air volume, low noise, low power consumption, and beautiful appearance.

-- The hood of the roof fan is made of aluminum alloy and is separately assembled for quick disassembly and reassembly.

-- The wheel is made of high-strength aluminum alloy with a curved air inlet, which can greatly reduce the noise and energy loss caused by turbulence. The wheel is statically and dynamically balanced to achieve the G2.5 level of the US AMCA standard, reducing vibration and noise.
